I read The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula Le Guin. It’s a book about AI who has a mission on the planet of Gethen. One thing really interesting about this book is The Gethenians do not have am obvious gender, they can be both male or female. Once a month they can become either male or female. I think it’s becase Le Guin draws huge inspiration from the field of anthropology. The story revolves around the struggles of Ai trying to understand and integrated himself with in the Gethenian culture.

I think in the book it implicates some gender issues, since the world is changing I think the barrier between genders become more and more vague which just like Gethenian in the story. People just need to be open-minded, there is a lot of thing that we cannot control.

I found out this book is pretty interesting it present an interesting and different world in some ways reflects our society.
